CoverBrowser, the Awful VHS Cover Archive

steel-arenaI’m not sure what the point of all this is, but it’s awesome. I never realized just how many awful VHS covers existed until just now. No doubt future generations will look back upon this memory of late 1970s through early 2000s box art and barf. In between laughing about the concept of big, huge plastic tapes being purchased for the low, low price of $19.99.

There is no rhyme or reason to this site. The videos aren’t in order by any discernible schematic. They aren’t alphabetical. They aren’t in there by date. It’s a glorious mess.

  1. Wow. Those bring me back. In the little hole in the wall video store I worked at years ago, I’d say we had about 40% of those titles. Which is probably why the rentals were .57 cents!

  2. This site is amazing.

  3. THE ARCHIVE OF TITLES WHERE VERY EXPENSIVE LOOKING FROM WHEN SOMEBODY DISTRIBUTED THEM WE NEED MORE COLLECTIONS LIKE THAT DISCOVERED IN OLD NEWSPAPERS OR VIDEO BUSINESS PUBLICATIONS ON WEBSITES
