Yet another interesting thing about living downtown.
..I guess it's interesting. I live near a ballpark. This one:

So I've been chilling this afternoon, enjoying the warm spring sun streaming through my tall windows.. and there must be a game of some sort happening this afternoon or this evening, because they've got a couple of people in there singing the National Anthem.
Over and over. And over.
This is apparently by way of practicing for whatever event is taking place this afternoon and this evening. It's loud enough - as are the cheering crowds when there's games going on - that it's distracting. And you know how people who are invited to sing the national anthem are. They can't just sing it in their nice voice and be done with it. They have to intone like crazy and waver off into the heights and screech it for all it's worth until you're hoping they catch something and can't continue.
