Two anecdotes from my Chinese food experience today

- One, it appears that once you're used to using chopsticks, it gets really difficult to go back to using a fork.

Using chopsticks in the Western world is a unique experience in that we force ourselves to use the table manners we were raised with - hand-me-downs from the Victorian era - with utensils that were designed as inefficient shovels only.

But once you've mastered the art, attempting to take an object so blunt as a fork to that delicious mein and lemon chicken gets downright hard.

- Two, my fortunate cookie said "If you cannot find wisdom within, try the Internet."

Well, here I am.

I have shared your observation on chopsticks vs. fork and knife. Western eating utensils are definately more crude, and to me seem to be less hygenic.

Nice fortune.
