Musings on Life

I find it interesting that all creatures on this planet must struggle for survival against, rather than with, other creatures. Competition is our only way of being; this sentiment is expressed most cynically by "kill or be killed." The self-satisfactory race is run against ourselves, but the race for survival is against all the other forms of life.

At the same time, we've an innate instinct to seek out people whom we can give our love to, and whom we can find trust in. Given the harsh realities of human fragility, this most often ends in disappointment. It's most cynically expressed as "everyone you love will die or leave you."

Is it any wonder life is pain?

I'm not in a dark mood, btw, just a contemplative one.

I prefer "live, and let live". Ironic, since I´ve been in "kill or be killed" situations.

I like your site, btw.

Love,

Finally its all the same. Love, hate, pain, pleasure, competition, co-operation. Two sides of a coin. One cannot exist without the other. So just enjoy whatever comes your way and give you 100%.
