a dream my friend had

This morning I had a dream that the sun stopped emitting light, beaming its warm rays of light to the Earth. It was sort of like the sun itself dissapeared. So basically, we're all fucked. The government turned all the streetlights on, and I remember that after a little while, my eyes acclimated to the darkness - we could all see so many more stars than ever before; because the sun's light was gone, it didn't interfere. So that was pretty amazing.

I went to this mall, and people were still buying things, and going about their daily business, in shock. I laughed inside - it wouldn't last. I think I got some hot pockets? It's hard to remember. I do remember thinking that these were the end days, so I had to get back home, and spend them with my family.

But outside, we could see ALL the galaxies, ALL the stars, and it was pretty glorious. And I wondered if dying was worth that vision.
