The wisdom of Chico

I never watch television other than sporting events and to get the weather report in the morning. Each day, I wake up and make a positive, concerted effort to improve my body, my mind, and my life. Exercise is one way I do this. There are so many negative forces out there that will pull you down if you let them: politics, fast food, alcohol, radical religion, and television commercials. I overcome these forces by seeking out the positive in the wake of negativity. If you spend the bulk of your free time idly saying nothing, doing nothing, and achieving nothing then it's not really a surprise if your life seems to amount to nothing. Gossiping about Lindsay Lohan's weight is exactly that, nothing. A fulfilling life with friends, adventure and excitement (the kind of thing you are entertained by on television) requires time and effort which is precisely the thing television steals.
