icine poetry contest - entry 5
by rmkblair

When words aren't needed, aren't wanted,
the kiss affirms the core of trust.
When words won't do, can't do,
the kiss possesses the strength of will.
When words won't come, get stuck,
the kiss carries the purpose of confidence.
When there aren't enough words, any words,
the kiss confirms the intimacy of souls.
REVISED:
Their kiss confirms a core of trust
when words aren't wanted, aren't needed.
Their kiss holds the essence of confidence
when words get stuck, don't come.
Their kiss possesses the resolve of will
when words can't do, won't do.
Their kiss affirms an intimacy of souls
when there aren't enough words, aren't any words.
