icine poetry contest - entry 8

by SciFi-ActionMan

Anti-Matter

The nature of the world is for all to behold
Yet hidden below the deepest depths comes something of old
With an everlasting presence that's possible to detect
Yet even if you search for it, you may not suspect

From an amorphous coating invisible and sublime
To purple tentacles that stretch through time
In patterns both complex and diverse
Anti-matter spreads its seed to the universe

You cannot see it yet you know it's there
We can measure it's weight and feel its stare
It permeates all, from a black hole to our atmosphere
You may not like it, but anti-matter is even here
